START Hackathon

CeNZ-HighDB is delighted to be an official partner of the upcoming START Hackathon, which will be held at Edinburgh Futures Institute on 27th February.

The START Hackathon is a one-day innovation bootcamp designed to empower 50 S4–S6 students to tackle real community challenges through entrepreneurial thinking.

Students will:
• Practice problem-solving, creativity, and resilience
• Connect with Edinburgh’s entrepreneurial community
• Build communication skills and friendships beyond school
• Gain industry exposure and future career connections

There will be a panel there on the day to judge the pitches, as follows:
• Dr Anitha Karthik – Research Fellow, Centre for Net Zero High Density Buildings (CeNZ-HighDB, Thematic Working Group VI)
• Claire Wheelan – Programme Manager, Codebase
• Ifeanyichukwu Ezinmadu – Founder & CEO, SymphoMe
• Barry McDonald – Programme & Delivery Lead, Geovation Scotland
