Thematic Working Group VI
Led by Edinburgh Napier University

Skills development; partnerships and networks; technology deployment; ensuring equality, diversity and inclusion; and economic impact
CeNZ-HighDB will partner with regional skills academies and colleges to accelerate future deployment of innovative product and technology solutions co-developed with industry partners. Thematic working group VI will engage with established networks and partnership to support this by undertaking research to create an evidence-based skills program for Net Zero Carbon High Density Buildings. The Centre’s partner networks will provide established pathways to roll out new skills training courses developed accelerating green economy growth pan-UK via colleges and industry. There will be a particular emphasis on ensuring equality, diversity and inclusion to support a just transition towards more sustainable communities leading to major investment regionally for manufacturing and onsite skills, creating net zero regional skills and job opportunities with the local and national Regional Skills Partners. This will enable the deployment for mass roll out for net zero building retrofit archetype solutions developed by the Centre and industry partners (which can be extended across the UK with multi ‘regions+cities’ benefits).
