Meet the Centre for Net Zero High Density Buildings

7 Apr 2025

The Centre for Net Zero High Density Buildings is led by the University of Edinburgh, in partnership with the Universities of Glasgow, Strathclyde, West of Scotland, Edinburgh Napier University, and BE-ST – Scotland’s construction innovation centre. The Centre will have six distinct Thematic Working Groups, each with its own academic lead.

We are delighted to announce the full team, who will be working to improve energy efficiency in high-density areas.

The Centre is led by Professor Sean Smith, Chair in Future Construction, based at the University of Edinburgh. Serena Lambley is the Centre Manager, and Amy Macpherson is the Centre Administrator.
